Located 20 miles south of Jellystone Park™, the Crystal Grottoes Caverns are the only commercial cave now open in Maryland. Discover beautiful formations including both stalactites and stalagmites within the caverns, plus some natural air conditioning!

ANTIETAM NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD

What’s a vacation without a little history lesson?😜  Visit Antietam National Battlefield, located 20 miles south of Jellystone Park™, to learn all about the bloodiest one-day battle in American history! Over 23,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or missing after twelve hours of combat between the North and South. Today, the Antietam National Battlefield is part of the National Park Service and is open to visitors to explore and learn.

APPALACHIAN TRAIL

Want to stay fit while vacationing, plus experience breath-taking views? The Appalachian Trail is the perfect spot to do this with a 2,180+ mile-long public footpath that traverses the lands of the Appalachian Mountains, passing through 14 states. Today the trail is managed by the National Park Service, and it’s said that at least 2 million people will take at least one one-day hike on the trail each year.
